Republican Patricia A. Ritchie touts her fiscal discipline for the benefit of St. Lawrence County residents in her first 30-second television ad for the 48th Senate District.
The ad is running on broadcast and cable stations in the district's three counties.
Here's the transcript:
“It's rare to find someone who stands up for people. That's what Patty Ritchie does. When Albany told us to buy new license plates, she stood up for us; and the Albany politicians backed down. And Patty stood up for us by finding a way for the St. Lawrence County Clerk's Office to give back millions of dollars to local taxpayers. New York has real problems. As our state senator, Patty Ritchie will find solutions. She'll never stop standing up for us.”
Her Democratic opponent, Darrel Aubertine, has a new ad that appears to use the same thematic style as Jimmy Siegal's ads for the candidate during the 2008 special election. The advertisement is running on television, but I don't know of it being online anywhere.
