Season Opening Features

With the season starting in just 10 days, I'd like to fill you in on a few new features I plan to employ this season.

For starters, nothing has been eliminated from my coverage last season.

A Saint will be featured in a weekly segment called "Get to Know a Saint."

During games, I will be live blogging from Appleton and wherever the Saints go in the playoffs. These updates will include analysis, some play-by-play and goal-scoring replays.

I will have more television-style sports packages, hopefully each week depending on time, to update you what the team is working on and any other news from practice. This will compliment my weekly columns and game previews that run in the Watertown Daily Times.

There will be occasional Twitter updates based on the level of news. I still don't understand why Twitter is at all popular, but you can follow me there: @SLUhockey. Last year, I used this mainly to link to game video and highlights.

I will provide occasional on-camera analysis of the team's play and what I see when I watch a game.

Lastly, you can come here to find links around the ECAC, including team blogs, school news, etc... I will do weekly round ups for all schools. During game weeks, I'll have frequent updates on whatever school(s) St. Lawrence faces that week during conference play.
