Colgate snapped a two-game losing streak with a 5-0 win over Sacred Heart on Oct. 30 at Starr Rink. Colgate opened the season with a 3-1 win over Army in Cape Cod, Mass., then dropped a pair of road games at Lake Superior State. The Raiders feature seven NHL draft choices on their roster. Cornell (0-2, 0-0)

The No. 19 team in the nation was surprisingly swept at home last week against New Hampshire and RIT. Cornell dropped five spots in the USCHO.com poll from 14 to 19 as a result. Players to Watch

Nick D'Agostino (Cornell)

D'Agostino enters his sophomore campaign as the anchor of Cornell's defense. Last season as a freshman, D'Agostino had four goals and 14 assists for 18 points. In Cornell's opening two games this year, he had a goal and two assists. D'Agostino is also one of four NHL draft picks on Cornell's roster. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2008 NHL draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Brian Day (Colgate)

Day, a senior forward, leads the Raiders in scoring with four goals and two assists through the first four games. A draft choice of the New York Islanders, Day also has one power-play goal. He's scored 48 goals with 43 assists in 113 career games and is nine points shit of reaching 100. He had seven power-play goals last year. He was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team in his first two seasons.

Joe Marsh Says...

One of Marsh's main points this week is to focus on fundamentals. St. Lawrence does have a ton of injuries, but the freshman need to start playing better. He said injuries are no excuse because there are plenty of players who have played in a lot of games in their careers and need to step up.
