Clarkson (5-4-2 overall, 1-2-1 ECAC Hockey) and St. Lawrence (2-6-3, 2-2) will meet for the second time this season at 7 p.m. Saturday but for the first time ECAC Hockey points will be at stake.

The Golden Knights won 2-1 in overtime in a nonconference game in Lake Placid on Oct. 30.

Clarkson split last weekend, losing 7-1 to Dartmouth on Friday and responding with a 3-1 win over Harvard on Saturday. The Saints lost both games, falling 4-2 to Harvard and 6-1 to Dartmouth.

Stat of the Night

The first goal could be the goal in this game. Clarkson is 0-4 if the opposition scores first and the Saints are 0-6-2 when the other team scores first.

Who to Watch

Clarkson:Senior forward Scott Freeman has the best career numbers against the Saints, with two goals and 11 assists in 14 games. Senior Brandon DeFazio has three goals and four assists and senior Bryan Rufenach has two goals and four assists. Junior Nick Tremblay has three goals and three assists. Goalie Paul Karpowich is 4-5-1 with a 2.57 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage against SLU.

SLU:Rick Carden has one goal and four assists in eight games against Clarkson. Jacob Drewiske has three goals against the Golden Knights. George Hughes has six assists. Kyle Flanagan has four assists and expected starting goalie Matt Weninger had a 1.93 goals-against average in the game in Lake Placid and a .913 save percentage.

Special Teams Outlook

Clarkson:The Golden Knights are just 3 of 45 on the power play so far this season (6.7 percent) but are 57 of 64 on penalty kills (89.1). Clarkson has two shorthanded goals and has not allowed any.

SLU:The Saints are 7 for 54 on the power play (13 percent) and 45 of 52 on kills (86.5). Clarkson's Jake Morley scored a shorthanded goal against SLU in Lake Placid. Greg Carey has scored three of his five goals this season on the power play.

As mentioned earlier, Clarkson defeated the Saints 2-1 in Lake Placid with an overtime goal from freshman Matt Zarbo.
