Two of the companies developing wind farms in the north country are part of a project to build a 15-megawatt turbine for offshore use. Gamesa is leading the project, while Acciona S.A. and Iberdrola Renovables S.A. are also involved.
Acciona is the developer behind St. Lawrence Wind Farm and Iberdrola is working on Horse Creek, Roaring Brook, Stone Church and North Ridge wind farms.
