CANTON — An Ogdensburg man was indicted Monday by a St. Lawrence County grand jury for reportedly having sexual contact with two underage boys.
John A. Skidds,35, of 616 King St., was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual act and three counts each of third-degree criminal sexual act and child endangerment.
He reportedly had sexual contact with an underage boy — his age wasn't listed in the indictment — in summer 2009 and sexual contact with a 15-year-old boy in winter 2009 and in March 2010, according to special prosecutor and Franklin County District Attorney Derek P. Champagne. The St. Lawrence County district attorney's office had a conflict.
The grand jury also indictedFrank Bellamy,25, on a charge of second-degree assault. He allegedly punched Lyle Walker in the face Dec. 9 at St. Lawrence County jail. Mr. Bellamy is serving a 11/2- to 3-year prison sentence on a charge of attempted second-degree assault. He admitted to using a folded can lid to cut another inmate while being housed at Ogdensburg Correctional Facility.
He previously served a two- to four-year prison term on a conviction of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property from Suffolk County, state records show.
