Clarkson plays its third and fourth games of the week against capital district foes Rensselaer and Union.
The Golden Knights (10-7-2 overall, 4-2-1 ECAC Hockey) dropped a pair of nonconference games against fifth-ranked Minnesota-Duluth at Cheel Arena earlier this week. Clarkson lost 4-1 on Monday and then lost 4-2 on Tuesday to the Bulldogs.
Neither No. 10 RPI (11-4-3, 3-3) or No. 15 Union (11-6-3, 3-2-1) has lost a home game this season.
The Engineers have won their last four games and last played on Dec. 30-31, sweeping a pair of road games at Alabama-Huntsville.
Union has not been as hot, dropping three of their last four games. The Dutchmen opened the new year competing in a tournament at the University of Minnesota, defeating the Golden Gophers 3-2 in overtime and then losing 3-1 to Bemidji State in the championship game.
