Pro Hockey Notes

A pair of retired former Golden Knights were honored on Wednesday.
Defenseman Bill Blackwood, who played from 1974-78, was included in the latest batch of players to be named to the ECAC Hockey list of the top 50 players of all time.
Blackwood, who played two full seasons of minor-league hockey after leaving Clarkson, is still Clarkson's all-time leading scorer among defensemen, with 169 points in 123 games. He had 52 goals and 117 assists in his career.
He joined the Indianapolis Racers of the WHA for three games after his senior season ended, then spent two years playing for the Fort Wayne Komets of the IHL.
Hugo Belanger, who was one of Clarkson's key players on the last Frozen Four team in 1992, was told Wednesday that he'll be inducted into the Adirondack Hockey Hall of Fame in Glens Falls in March.
He'll join Jody Gage and former NHL coach Barry Melrose in the induction class on March 12 at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
Belanger scored 32 goals with 43 assists in 40 games for Clarkson in 1990-91.
He played professional hockey until 2008 and also played four years of professional roller hockey, scoring 158 points in just 20 games for the Virginia Vultures in 1998.
He played for hockey teams based in Glens Falls from 200-06 and had a 143-point season for the Adirondack IceHawks in 2002-03.
