McKenzie making northern rounds in AHL

Former St. Lawrence University standout forward Mike McKenzie was recently called up to the AHL with the Charlotte Checkers, and will be touring the New York area, including Syracuse, over the next several games.

Here's his schedule for those interested:

Friday: at Binghamton Senators, 7 p.m.

Saturday: at Glens Falls Phantoms, 7 p.m.

Sunday: at Hershey Bears, 5 p.m.

Tuesday: at Syracuse Crunch, 7 p.m.

McKenzie has appeared in two games for the Checkers since his promotion from the ECHL's Florida Everblades. He is yet to record a point. With Florida, he had 17 goals and 18 assists (35 points) in 51 games this season.
