Fourth Quarter
The Sandstoners advance to the championship game against either Westhill (18-5) or Burke Catholic (20-2). That game follows this one. More stats will be available with the postgame interviews.

Third Quarter
Potsdam extends the lead to 47-31. John Coleman, however, did pick up his fourth personal foul late in the quarter.

The Sandstoners ended the first half on a 20-1 run to build a 30-16 margin over Charlotte. John Coleman sparked the run, scoring the first six points. He leads Potsdam with 14 points after a scoreless first quarter. Zach Adams has 11 points for Potsdam.

First Quarter
Potsdam got off to a sluggish start and trails the Lakesiders 12-6 after the first quarter.
Charlotte opened the game on an 8-2 run. LaBronze Mays and Alexshay Pearse each have four points for Charlotte. Lee Buchanon and Zach Adams each have three points for the Sandstoners.

Potsdam coach Steve Kmack has pneumonia, but is in the building and is expected to lead the top-ranked Sandstoners (24-0) against Section 5's Charlotte (14-9) in a Class B semifinal.
The Sandstoners were here a year ago and lost 70-59 to Burke Catholic, the last loss suffered by the team. A 13-0 run by Burke Catholic in the third quarter a year ago led to Potsdam's demise.
Potsdam has excelled on defense this season, holding teams to an average of 34.8 points. The offense is balanced as John Coleman and Zach Adams each average 17 points and Scott Bartenstein averages 15.6
Charlotte likes to press on defense and to prepare Potsdam was practicing five on seven this week. The Lakesiders had 24 steals in a 68-57 quarterfinal win over Cassadaga Valley.
The Lakesiders are a surprise participant in the state tournament as they were the No. 6 seed in the Section 5 Tournament. The offense is led by guards Alexshay Pearse, who averages 18 points, Kievonn Banks, who averages 14 and Malachi Henry, who averages 11.
