Farm Bureau puts veggie poll on Facebook

Sweet corn or the onion?

The New York Farm Bureau is sowing the seeds of debate on the budding issue of the state's official vegetable.

The agribusiness lobbying group has posted a poll on its Facebook page asking New Yorkers: What do you like better, sweet corn or the onion?

Right now, the voting stands at 19 for sweet corn, nine for the onion and two for "other vegetable."

File this one under "slow news day." It's like watching vegetables grow.

My vote, by the way, is for the onion.
