Watertown

Advantage Watertown, a group of business leaders, will meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday to discuss several projects on downtown buildings that are underway.

Lisbon

Lisbon town board will meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The board will be giving updates on the NYPA campground project and other items that come before the board. Lisbon Town Hall.

Hounsfield

The Hounsfield Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight for its monthly town board meeting.

Feds

Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-N.Y., holds a news conference call to discuss tuition credits for veterans.

The House takes up legislation that funds the government for the rest of the fiscal year, through Sept.30.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack testifies at the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on renewable fuels such as ethanol. Sen. Kirsten E. Gillibrand, D-N.Y., is on the committee.
