MASSENA — Tony's Canvas & Leather has received a $13,860 grant and a $5,000 loan from the St. Lawrence County Local Development Corp. to buy equipment that will improve productivity and efficiency.
The business was started in 2001 by Anthony J. O'Geen from his home at 50 Grove St., where he repaired hockey equipment for local colleges. Along with repair of anything made from canvas or leather, the business evolved into custom sports bags, leather saddle bags, sports apparel for customers worldwide and signs.
