Obama releases birth certificate

I've been gleefully emailing every "birther" in my inbox this morning since the news broke.

(And yes, I will use the term "birther," not "even though" it's derisive, but BECAUSE it's derisive.)

President Barack Obama, who for years has been asked to release his birth certificate (even though he already had), today released it again.

Now, can we just put this thing to rest?

Seriously? Please?

We got to the point where we were running letters to the editor about this. One of them said that the president wasn't releasing his birth certificate not because it didn't exist, but because it said he was a Muslim.

But as you can see from the actual document, that's baloney. Debunked. Kaput.

By the way, no response yet from the birthers I've been harassing this morning.
