Coaching Update: Part 2

It appears that former Clarkson assistant Ron Rolston is back in the mix for the men's hockey head coaching position.
A week or so ago it sounded like Rolston was no longer interested, but he is expected to interview for the job this weekend and might be the lead candidate. An announcement from the school could come as early as Monday or Tuesday of next week, depending on what happens.
Another candidate could be Lake Superior State coach Jim Roque, who was on Clarkson's staff with Rolston from 1996-99. The Lakers are undergoing some budget woes, which could lead Roque to be interested in leaving his alma-mater to come to Clarkson.
Rolston, who is 44, has never been an NCAA Division I head coach, but has been an assistant at Lake Superior State, Harvard and Boston College, along with his time at Clarkson.
He's been coaching the U.S. development teams since the 2004-05 season and is a former player at Michigan Tech.
Clarkson has been conducting telephone interviews this week and the list of those believed to have been interested includes: former Golden Knight and current Merrimack assistant Phil Roy, Brasher Falls native and Denver assistant Derek Lalonde, Canton native and Hobart coach Mark Taylor, former Clarkson coach and current Manchester Monarchs coach Mark Morris, former Clarkson player and assistant Jean-Francois Houle, U.S. Hockey executive Bob Mancini and former Lake Superior State coach Frank Anzalone.
