Russell will serve on women vets subcommittee

Assemblywoman Addie Russell was tapped to become the chairwoman of the Assembly Subcommittee on Women Veterans.
Mrs. Russell, D-Theresa, announced the move via news release.
The panel "is tasked with the examination of issues related to women veterans, including the transition of women veterans from a combat zone to civilian life, and the availability of benefits for women veterans," the news release says.
