SLC Dems hold fundraiser for Owens

Top St. Lawrence County Democrat Mark Bellardini and his wife are hosting a fundraiser for Rep. Bill Owens tomorrow at their camp in Norwood.

Suggested contributions range from $100 for individuals to $2,500 for political action committees.

Politicos who have said they'll attend include June O'Neill, the former No. 2 Democrat in the state, and Sallie Brothers, the St. Lawrence County Legislature chairwoman.

Mr. Owens is up for re-election in November 2012. He'll likely face off against Republican Matt Doheny, a portfolio manager. Dark horse candidate Kelly Eustis, a tea party activist, has also said he's considering a run.
