Clarkson School graduate named 2011 Miss New York

POTSDAM — Clarkson University alumna Kaitlin P. Monte was crowned Miss New York at the 71st annual state pageant June 18 in Staten Island.

Miss Monte, a resident of Pittsford and a 2006 graduate of the Clarkson School, was crowned Miss Southern New York in March and will go on to compete for the title of Miss America 2012 in January.

The Clarkson School is an early entrance program for high school students interested in taking a full academic year of college undergraduate courses.
