Matthew A. Doheny, the Republican who will try again to win the north countrys congressional seat, has been hired to serve on the board of directors for YRC Worldwide, a holding company for Yellow and Roadway Networks trucking companies.
YRC is in the midst of a financial restructuring that is critical to its survival, the Wall Street Journal reported. Mr. Doheny is one of eight new members on the eight-member board.
Mr. Doheny specialized in turning around distressed companies when he worked for Deutsche Bank Securities, beginning in 2000. Earlier this year, he founded North Country Capital, which helps fund start-ups and companies looking to expand.
Harry J. Wilson, the Republican candidate for state comptroller in 2010, was also appointed to the board.
