Aldi, the discount grocery store, will hold a hiring event in Watertown for manager trainees for the Watertown, 1165 Arsenal St., and West Carthage, 14 N. Broad St., locations today.

The event will be at 7 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 6 p.m. at Holiday Inn Express, 1290 Arsenal St.

The jobs require a high school diploma, availability from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., ability to lift 45 pounds and completion of a drug screening and background check. Preferred applicants will display retail and management experience. The jobs are paid $22.50 per hour, Aldi said, and benefits are available.

Each location generally has eight to 10 employees.
