FORT DRUM — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded more than $170 million in contracts for construction projects on post, with nine projects going to six local developers:
■ Black Horse Construction Company, Watertown, was awarded a $12.4 million contract for the design and construction of a new training aide support center.
■ Cadence Construction, Black River, was awarded a $1.8 million contract for the rehabilitation and construction of solar walls at post facilities.
■ Green Jacket-DC Building Systems, Watertown, was awarded a $13.4 million contract for an aircraft fueling project at Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield.
■ Purcell-Lawman JV, Watertown, was awarded two construction projects: the first, a $35.4 million contract for new barracks for the Combat Aviation Brigade; the second, a $46.4 million contract for design and construction of an Operational Readiness Training Complex for the Army Reserve and National Guard.
■ Upstate Construction, Watertown, was awarded two construction projects: the first, an $11.6 million contract for the design and construction of an Aviation Battalion Maintenance Hangar addition; the second, an $18.6 million contract for a new Company Operations Facility and Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility for the Combat Aviation Brigade at the airfield.
■ Vetco Construction, Watertown, was awarded two construction projects: the first, a $15 million contract for the design and construction of a new Air Force 20th Air Support Operations Squadron complex; the second, an $18.2 million contract for the construction of a 40,000 square-foot battalion/brigade headquarters facility for the Combat Aviation Brigade.
