Red and Black lands four on all-star team

Watertown Red and Black quarterback Brian Williams won the Empire Football League’s Ironman Award for the second straight season, defensive lineman Alex Tibbles was named the league’s defensive rookie of the year, and four Red and Black players were named first-team all-stars. The league announced its award winners Saturday.

Lineman Aaron Brown was named to the first-team offense, while Tibbles, linebacker Dylan Kirker, and defensive back Adrian Paris were first-team defense selections.

Runnings backs Joe Brennan and Anthony Noel, defensive end Ian Clark, and defensive backs Adrian Gonzalez and Todd Kiechle were named to the all-league second team.

Williams was a second-team selection at punter, and an honorable mention choice at quarterback.

Center Jared Cook and tight end Paul Owens also received honorable mention, along with Noel at wide receiver.
