Macaluso endorses Graham for mayor

Councilwoman Teresa R. Macaluso has endorsed incumbent Mayor Jeffrey E. Graham for re-election.

Mr. Graham is facing off against Councilman Jeffrey M. Smith in the Nov. 8 race.

"Mayor Graham is a tremendous asset to the City Council," Ms. Macaluso said in a news release Tuesday. "His longevity is a benefit to all of us, because it gives him a knowledge on the issues that is unequaled."

Councilwoman Roxanne M. Burns has also endorsed Mr. Graham, while Councilman Joseph M. Butler Jr. is supporting Mr. Smith.

Mr. Graham welcomed the endorsement.

"I am honored to have her support, in particular her comments about the need to make the system work," Mr. Graham said in a statement. "Relationships are everything on a five person body and I have found the Councilwoman a source of insight into many issues."
