HENDERSON — The Town Council cancelled a hearing planned today to discuss overriding a state cap on tax levies.

According to Town Clerk Charlotte Richmond, the board made the decision after starting to look at the budget Tuesday.

In light of the decision, the board rescinded a resolution to override the tax levy cap that was passed on Oct. 6.

The board will still meet at 6 p.m. to discuss the 2012 budget.
