Channel 7 has in-depth interview with Smith

Check out Channel 7's interview with Watertown mayoral candidate Jeff Smith.

Mr. Smith, a city councilman, is facing off against incumbent Mayor Jeff Graham in the Nov. 8 race.

In the interview, Mr. Smith says he wants to be the person in whom the community can "have pride."

Channel 7's Jeff Cole asked Mr. Smith whether he'd appoint Mr. Graham to the open council seat that Mr. Smith would vacate if he won.

"If the people just voted somebody out, why would you put them back on?" Mr. Smith said when pressed.

Mr. Graham told me today that he'll be taping an appearance on Channel 7 Wednesday morning.
