Clarkson (4-1-1) at Bentley (1-4)

Clarkson:The Golden Knights have won four straight games, all at Cheel Arena, and outscored the opposition 18-4 in those contests. Clarkson has scored the first goal in five of their six games, and is 4-0-1 when scoring first and the Golden Knights have scored at least one power-play goal in every game this season. Clarkson is averaging 3.83 goals, which ranks 10th in the NCAA.
Bentley:This will be Bentley's home opener. The Falcons opened conference play on Tuesday with a 7-3 win over Sacred Heart, the same team Clarkson swept to start its four-game win streak. The Falcons lost two games at Michigan (5-1, 4-1), lost 5-3 at U-Mass. and then lost 6-1 at Quinnipiac. Bentley has won six straight home openers.

Who to Watch
Ben Sexton had two goals and two assists last year against the Falcons. Nick Tremblay also scored two goals against Bentley. Matt Zarbo had one goal with three assists and Adam Pawlick had one goal and two assists. Julien Cayer and David Pratt each picked up two assists. Paul Karpowich went 1-0-1 with a 1.92 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.
Bentley:Jamie Nudy scored one goal with two assists against the Golden Knights. Brett Gensler, Brett Hartung and Herbie Kent also scored goals. Kyle Rank played in the tie game last year and had a 2.77 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage.

Ben Sexton and Matt Zarbo each had one goal and two assists and Clarkson outshot the Falcons 53-25 on Friday. The Golden Knights built a 3-0 lead after two periods on Saturday, but Bentley rallied with three goals in the third to get the tie.
Odds and Ends:Special teams could be a factor tonight. Clarkson has the third-best power play in the nation (29.4 percent) and Bentley's opponents have scored on 29.2 percent of their power-play chances. ... Clarkson has started off well in games this year. The Golden Knights have outscored the opposition 8-3 in the first period and 10-3 in the second. ...Allan McPherson leads Clarkson with 22 shots on goal. Louke Oakley is second with 16. Kevin Tansey and Nik Pokulok are each at plus-six in plus/minus. Corey Tamblyn, Andrew Himelson and Will Frederick are at plus-four. Tansey leads the team in blocked shots with 13. Alex Boak has 10 and Sam Labrecque seven. ...Labrecque has a four-game scoring streak while McPherson and Tremblay have scored in three straight games. ... Bentley has struggled after first periods this season. The Falcons have been outscored 7-4 in the second and 11-3 in the third. Bentley's allowed 42.6 shots per game and given up an average of 4.6 goals.
