Police: Fort Drum man violated protection order

Thomas W. Wright, 27, of 775 Oswego Ave., Fort Drum, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies Thursday with first-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree harassment.

He is charged with stealing a purse containing credit cards from Ashley M. Wright at 23100 Route 12, town of Pamelia. It further is alleged that he violated an order of protection held by her by touching her while grabbing an item from her and by threatening to kill her.

He is to answer the charges in Pamelia Town Court.
