So far the leading scorer among all Clarkson alums in the National Hockey League is the newest NHL player.
Grant Clitsome, a member of Clarkson's NCAA Tournament teams in 2007 and 2008, is having a good start with the Columbus Blue Jackets so far this season. A defenseman, Clitsome is more known for hits like this one:
Erik Cole is one point shy of Clitsome right now, but does have the most goals of any Clarkson alum, with three. But he also can make a big hit when needed:
Here's Cole speaking with the press after he scored his first goal as a Montreal Canadien.
Always a popular player at Clarkson, defenseman Willie Mitchell appears to be as popular in Los Angeles:
Grant Clitsome, Columbus 13 games 1 goal-5 assists 6 points
Erik Cole, Montreal 14 3-2 5
Kent Huskins, St. Louis 9 2-2 4
Wilile Mitchell, Los Angeles 15 0-3 3
Randy Jones, Winnipeg 7 1-0 1
