Nevertheless, north countryers heard about it last night at a forum hosted by Clarkson University and the St. Lawrence County League of Women Voters.

Deborah Rogers, a cornerstone of this New York Times piece, was in town to say that hydraulic fracturing is little more than a shell game, according to Times staff writer Gabrielle Hovendon's report.

“I've never seen anything hyped more than shale gas,” Ms. Rogers said.
