Carthage’s Fuchs, Watertown’s Favret advance in state swimming
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2011
BUFFALO — Ashley Fuchs of Carthage and Samantha Favret of Watertown each advanced to today’s finals following their performances in the preliminaries of the state championship meet Friday at Erie Community College.
Fuchs captured 12th place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.54 seconds. She also took 31st in the 50 freestyle.
Favret finished 18th in the 100 backstroke, with a school and Frontier League record-time of 59.50 seconds.
