Police: Watertown woman found possessing man’s prescription during shoplifting investigation

Woman cited with theft, having another’s drugs

A Watertown woman was charged Nov. 13 in an alleged $224.76 shoplifting incident at Kinney Drugs, 905 Academy St.

Aimee A. Patton, 31, of 106 Superior St., faces a charge of petit larceny for the alleged theft in the store and also was cited with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said she was found possessing another person’s prescription bottle, which contained six tablets of alprazolam, a medication for anxiety.
