Police say man possessed meth during traffic stop
Benjamin C. Anaya, 44, of 122 Gale St., was being held Monday in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building after being charged by state police Sunday evening with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Bail was set at $750 by town of Watertown Justice James P. McClusky.
Police said Mr. Anaya was found possessing methamphetamine during a traffic stop at 5:15 p.m. on Route 126 in the town of Watertown. He was initially cited with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and driving without headlights.
