Watertown police charge Dexter couple with possession of cocaine

Two from Dexter cited with cocaine possession

Watertown police charged John W. Cassoni 47, and his passenger, Jennifer A. Cassoni, 34, both of 220 Water St., Dexter, with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance about 12:11 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Factory Street.

Mr. Cassoni also was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and passing a red light.

Police allege that a glass pipe containing cocaine residue was found in their car.

Both were held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in Watertown Town Court.
