Lowville’s Taylor Haenlin and Chateaugay’s Shelby Coleman each earned first-team all-state honors in their respective classes as chosen by the New York State Sportswriters and Coaches Organization for Girls Sports. Haenlin was also selected as co-Player of the Year in Class B.
Haenlin, a senior forward, was a first-team pick in Class D. She scored 28 goals and recorded 26 assists this season in leading Lowville to an 18-1 record and a second Section 3 championship. She shared Player of the Year honors with Taylor Florio of Schalmont.
Coleman, a senior defender, was chosen for the first team in Class D. She wass one of Section 10’s best defensive players, helping Chateaugay to a 16-2-1 mark.
Haenlin’s teammate, senior Olivia Hanno, is on the fourth team in Class B, while Salmon River senior Karyss Terrance made the fifth team.
Parishville-Hopkinton senior Natalie Remington is on the Class D second team, Chateaugay senior Courtney Boyea and Parisville-Hopkinton sophomore Kodi Perkins made the third team and Copenhagen’s Alex LaBarge is on the fourth team.
