Deputies: Boonville man swerved at another auto
WEST LEYDEN Lewis County sheriffs deputies on Thursday charged Abner Rosbrook, 30, of 1747 Thayer Hill Road, Boonville, with second-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, the Sheriffs Department released Monday.
Mr. Rosbrook was accused of swerving at another motorist Wednesday on Route 26 in the town of Lewis.
The other person, whom deputies did not identify, reported to dispatchers that Mr. Rosbrook had pulled to the side of the road, forced a male passenger out and assaulted him, according to deputies. The caller then yelled at Mr. Rosbrook to stop, causing Mr. Rosbrook to re-enter his vehicle and swerve at the callers vehicle, deputies said.
The alleged assault victim declined prosecution, they said.
Mr. Rosbrook was arraigned in Lewis Town Court, then turned over to the violent felony warrant squad in Oneida County for an unspecified case from Utica.
