Mary L. Wells, 66, of Moira, N.Y., died early Monday morning, Dec. 5, 2011, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y.
Born in Dickinson, N.Y., Jan. 27, 1945, she was the daughter of Fred and Cora Dennis Greguire.She attended local schools.
On July 20, 1964, she was united in marriage to Kermit C. Wells Jr., at St.Anns Church in St. Regis Falls, N.Y. He survives.
Mary was a homemaker. She loved wildlife, and enjoyed feeding cardinals, chipmunks and other wild animals. She enjoyed her times at Weller Mountain and also at the casino. She cherished her time with her grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Kermit, she is survived by her mother, Cora Greguire of Dickinson; one son and daughter-in-law, Kermit S. and Tammi Wells of Moira; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Steven McDonald of Hopkinton, N.Y.; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Janice Greguire of Malone, Fred and Helen Greguire of South Carolina, Brad and Tammy Greguire of North Carolina, Harlow and Danielle Greguire of Canton, N.Y., Craig Greguire of Dickinson and Nancy Greguire of Dickinson; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ann and Fay Ploof of Dickinson and Diane Greguire of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Ashley and Megan McDonald both of Hopkinton and Samantha Wells of Moira; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Fred Greguire; one brother, Arthur Greguire; and two sisters, Joan Smith and Virginia Greguire.
Calling hours will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Anns Church in St. Regis Falls, with the Rev.
Alfred Fish officiating. Burial will be in St. Annıs Cemetery in St. Regis Falls Maryıs family would like to express a special thank you to the Moira Volunteer Rescue Department and the staff of the Reddy Cancer Treatment Center for the excellent care that they provided to Mary.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Moira Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
