Shirley A. Russell

Shirley A. Russell, age 77 of Potsdam, New York passed away suddenly at her residence in the village of Potsdam on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service in Potsdam, New York. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 13th at 10 am at St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood, NY with Msgr. Harry Snow celebrant. Burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Norwood, N.Y. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service in Potsdam on Monday, December 12th from 4-7pm. Contributions in her memory can be made to St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood, N.Y.

Shirley A. Russell was born on August 12, 1934 in Unionville, NY to the late Wilfred J. and Genevieve Dumas Russell. She attended Potsdam schools. She was employed by Morris Pinto/Pinto, Mucenski and Watson Public Accounting Firm for many years. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood. She dearly loved her cat Callie. Earlier on in her life she was a member of various small musical groups.

Shirley is survived by several nieces and nephews
