Two women arrested after scuffle with police

Watertown women cited over scuffle with police

Two women were arrested early Sunday following an incident with Watertown police in the 1300 block of State Street.

Jessica S. Dean, 30, of 335 Brainard St., was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at 2:11 a.m. after she blocked traffic and later pulled away from officers, police said.

Elizabeth V. Dean, 39, of 1135 Academy St., attempted to fight through officers while they tried to arrest the other woman, police said. She was charged with obstructing governmental administration.

Both were held in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $500 bail, pending arraignments.
