EDWARDS – Larry J. Curtis passed away on Friday December 9th, 2011 surrounded by his family at St. Joseph’s hospital in Syracuse, N.Y.

Larry was born on June 26th, 1959 in Canton, N.Y. He grew up in Russell and Edwards. He is survived by his father Robert; mother MaryAnn; sister, Sue and her husband David; brothers, Bob and Reg and his wife Pam; nieces, Jerrica and Sarah and nephews, Steven and Zachary. He is also survived by a great niece and nephew as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Larry served in the Air Force and various other occupations. Larry was an artist who donated proceeds from his paintings to homeless shelters in the Western United States. Larry was an avid reader and had attended college at the University of Florida.

During Larry’s life he traveled widely throughout the United States. He resided in Florida, Colorado, and Northern New York. He enjoyed being outdoors and being surrounded by the beauty of nature. Larry will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral and burial services were private through French Funeral Home. Donations may be made in Larry’s memory to the Edwards Hepburn Library.
