Clifford F. Shaw

CARTHAGE — Clifford F. Shaw, 84, of 141 Church Street, died Thursday, December 15, 2011 peacefully at home under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County and his family.

He was born on November 15, 1927 in Lowville to Floyd and Lydia Walker Shaw. He attended school in Lowville. He worked as a Mill Worker at Boisie Cascade Mill in Beaver River.

He married Sylvia Samson, they had a daughter Amelia Doty.

He later married Bernice K. Newton on May 13, 1956. She just recently died on June 19, 2011.

He is survived by several children; Randy Clifford Shaw; Stanley Richard O’Donnell, Gary Wayne O’Donnell, Dale Jr. O’Donnell, and Dennis M. O’Donnell; three daughters; Amelia Doty Andrea Gail Latremore, and Connie Marie Gagnon.

He is predeceased by, a son, Clifford E. “Pete,” O’Donnell who passed away in November 2010.

The family has requested that friends and family join them in a Celebration of his life on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 6:00pm at his home, which is located at 141 Church Street, Carthage, New York.

Arrangements are being held by the Lundy Funeral Home Inc. & Cremation Service Inc. 500 State Street, Carthage NY 13619. Burial will take place in spring in the Fairview Cemetery in Carthage.www.lundyfuneralhome.com
