The state Small Business Development Center is offering an entrepreneurial training course on Thursday evenings from Jan. 12 through Feb. 23 at Jefferson Community College.
The course will give guidance and support to those interested in starting or expanding a small business. It includes classroom training and one-on-one discussion with a center adviser; it will cover business planning, commercial loans, insurance, contracts, marketing and bookkeeping. Upon completion of the course, participants will be eligible to apply for low-interest microenterprise loans.
The seven-week seminar is co-sponsored by Jefferson Country Industrial Development Agency, Watertown Local Development Corp. and Community Bank N.A.
