Watertown woman cited after car hits school bus

No injuries were reported in a vehicle crash involving a school bus Thursday. Tammy L. Makuch, 42, of 1360 Washington St., was driving east on West Main Street in her 1993 Chevrolet sedan when she failed to stop for a red light and hit a school bus in the street’s intersection with Cooper Street, according to city police.

According to the accident report, Ms. Makuch saw the light change to red, causing her “chronic jerking” to act up. The jerking left her foot on the accelerator. The report noted skid marks near the intersection that showed an attempt by Ms. Makuch to stop.

She was cited with failing to stop at the red light.
