John M. Bond

John M. Bond, 53, House Rd., Clayton, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at his home.

The family will receive friends at Joe and Susie Bond’s home, 12176 House Rd., Clayton, on Saturday, December 31, from 12 - 3 PM. Arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton.

John was born in Alexandria Bay on February 9, 1958, son of Leo J. and Nancy Kennedy Bond. He attended Thousand Islands High School. On June 24, 1977 he married Kathy L. Rock in the town of Cape Vincent.

For 30 years he worked for S. Gerald Ingerson Contracting. In 2009 he started his own business, Bond Builders, which he operated until his death. He very much enjoyed woodworking.

Besides his wife, Kathy, and his parents, Leo and Nancy, of Clayton, he is survived by his son and his wife, Jason and Rebecca, Clayton; his 3 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Adam, and Paul; his 6 brothers, Jim and Laura, Marion, NY, his twin, Joe and Susan, Clayton, Bob, Clayton, Kenny and Jennie, Clayton, Tom and Linda, Fishers Landing, and Tim and Tracie, Clayton; his 5 sisters, Peggy and Turk Timmerman, Clayton, Melody and Kenny Brabant, Clayton, Gerry Ann and Randy Kellar, LaFargeville, Christine Bond, Mesa, AZ, and Tricia and Bobby Bushey, Clayton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions in his name to either Hospice of Jefferson County, 425 Washington St., or to Childrens Miracle Network, 830 Washington St., both in Watertown, NY 13601.
