CARTHAGE — Another member of the Carthage Area Hospital administrative team resigned in December.

Roger E. Bull, administrator of patient care services, resigned, effective Dec. 16, to go to another health-care facility, according to hospital spokeswoman Natalie M. Burnham, who released a statement via email Thursday.

According to the statement, Mr. Bull will “work out the term of his resignation at CAH. Carthage Area Hospital appreciates and values all that Roger contributed to the organization and wishes him well in his new position.”

The search for a successor has begun. In her statement, Ms. Burnham said all interested candidates should review the job description online. According to the hospital’s website, the candidate should be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, be registered as a nurse in the state and have five years of nursing experience in a hospital setting, among other requirements.

Mr. Bull, also a registered nurse, had been in that administrative post only since May, as he was promoted after having been the hospital’s supervisor of patient care services.

Before joining Carthage Area Hospital, he was the patient care coordinator at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown and also had been a registered nurse in various departments.

It was unclear Friday where Mr. Bull accepted a new position. When a Times reporter called Samaritan Medical Center’s marketing department, a representative said he was not working there.

Mr. Bull is one of several administrators to resign from Carthage Area Hospital in 2011. The former chief executive officer, chief financial officer, primary care administrator, chief information officer and patient accounts manager resigned in the last half of the year.

CEO Walter S. Becker said in August that all of the administrative changes had been coincidental and were in no way tied together. Mr. Becker was forced out in November.

Recently filled positions include an interim CEO, chief operating officer and administrator for support services. The chief information officer position will not be filled, and searches for a new CEO and CFO are under way.
