It was far from a bad return from injury for Kyle Flanagan this weekend. After missing eight straight games with an upper body injury, the junior helped St. Lawrence to the Ledyard Bank Classic title with six points. He had three goals and three assists in the two games, both of which the Saints won via shootout.
In doing so, St. Lawrence became the first school to win a tournament without winning a game. SLU is the only school to win a tournament on back-to-back shootouts.
Flanagan's efforts on the weekend earned him the tournament MVP, ECAC Hockey Player of the Week and one of 22 athletes recognized across all sports by CollegeSports360.com as a Prime Time Performer (Click here).
The Saints return to action this weekend against Minnesota State.
