OGDENSBURG — Ogdensburg Free Academy’s football team hopes to raise money for new uniforms by holding a Madden video game tournament at the New Media Outpost, 1041 Paterson St.

The idea came from assistant coach Brett A. Monnat, who said the team has been struggling for ideas that could help raise the $6,000 to outfit the players. He said the team has not had new jerseys since 2003.

Preregistration for the event is required at the store. The tournament will be held Saturday and Sunday, with registration closing Wednesday. Admission is $5, with half of the proceeds going to the football team and half going to the winners in the form of store credit.

For more information on the tournament, call the New Media Outpost at 393-0043.
