The state Conservative Party will hold its annual political action conference in Albany on Jan. 29 and 30 in Albany.

And on June 14, the party will hold a 50th anniversary celebration.

A Conservative newsletter can be found here, which opens in PDF. The newsletter touts the victory of Rep. Bob Turner, a Republican of New York City.

The Conservative Party's moves this year will be closely watched by folks in the north country, especially the Matt Doheny campaign. Mr. Doheny, a Republican, would get a big boost from a Conservative endorsement. The lack thereof last year precipitated a slip on the right and contributed to the victory of Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, in the historically Republican district.
