FORT DRUM — The post will host several former NFL players this Sunday in an event designed to allow soldiers to discuss physical and mental care.

Sponsored by the Real Warriors Campaign and the NFL Players Association, the post’s second annual “Game Day” event was scheduled for soldiers and their families to watch football and learn about support options for physical and mental health care.

A spokesman for Real Warriors Campaign Tuesday confirmed former NFL running backs Tony Collins and Blair Thomas would appear at the event. Mr. Collins, the third most productive rusher in New England Patriots history, played high school football at Penn Yan Academy, Penn Yan. Mr. Thomas, who played for the New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers, was named to the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.

The event, open to the entire post, will begin at 11:45 a.m. at the Commons.
