Lowville man accused of hitting child with shovel
FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2012
LOWVILLE — Village police on Wednesday charged Michael S. Ielfield, 27, Rural Avenue, with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Mr. Ielfield was accused of hitting a 9-year-old boy with a snow shovel Jan. 5 while trying to break up a fight between two children on Trinity Avenue. The child suffered minor injuries, police said.
Mr. Ielfield is to appear in Village Court.
