Hockey game scheduled to benefit Wounded Warrior Project

MASSENA — After hosting a successful fundraising tournament in December for the Massena Meals on Wheels, the Massena Fire Department hockey club is turning its attention to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Massena firefighters will take on the Fort Drum Mountaineers hockey club at 7 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Massena Arena to raise money for the project.The suggested donation is $5.

The Mountaineers consist of members of the Army’s 10th Mountain Division.

The Mountaineers have played other games in support of the Wounded Warrior Project, as well as games to benefit the United Service Organization, which provides morale, welfare and recreational services to military personnel.
